Arthroscopic suprapectoral tenodesis of the long biceps

Suprapectoral tenodesis of the long biceps is performed arthroscopically, usually on an outpatient basis. It involves detaching the long biceps tendon from its attachment in the shoulder, then securely reattaching it to the humerus, just above the pectoralis major muscle. This procedure alleviates pain caused by a damaged tendon whilst preserving the arm’s function and strength. Rehabilitation is then required to gradually regain mobility and return to normal activities.
