ANAESTHESIA – INTENSIVE CARE

The Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care

Patient safety and comfort depend on close collaboration between the surgeon and the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at the Tivoli Ducos Clinic.

The department comprises nine anaesthetists and intensive care specialists, supported by state-registered anaesthesia nurses (IADE) who are specifically trained in perioperative care. This experienced team supports each patient before, during and after their procedure to ensure personalised, safe anaesthesia tailored to each individual situation.

The pre-anaesthetic consultation allows us to assess your state of health, determine the most appropriate anaesthetic strategy and answer any questions you may have. For upper limb surgery, local and regional anaesthesia (LRA) techniques are preferred wherever possible. They provide excellent pain control, reduce the need for opioid analgesics, promote a rapid recovery and facilitate discharge home following day surgery.

Anaesthetists, anaesthesia nurses and all operating theatre staff work in close coordination with Dr SEIVERT to ensure a smooth, safe and patient-centred care pathway.
